OUR CHAPTER
"The Jewel of New England"
The Greater Providence Rhode Island Chapter was chartered on April 8, 1995 by 24 members and has been serving Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts for twenty years. Our chapter is known as "The Jewel of New England" for Rhode Island's jewelry manufacturing roots. Since the Chapter's inception, we have sponsored events and performed community service focused primarily on the African American community throughout the State of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Our service projects also extend to the Caribbean and African Diaspora.
Although we are one of the smallest chapters in the Links' organization, we continue to offer innovative programs that serve our community in the five facet areas that are the focus of Links programming. We seek opportunities to link with others in our community to enhance the reach and effectiveness of our programs and ensure that our efforts to address the needs of others are not only possible, but world class.
